What got me started doing ultras: Made mistake of going to the Arctic to run a marathon. Found out about a sport called ultrarunning. Hooked! Why I do ultras: No idea! Short-term ultra goal: Finish MMT 100mile, Hardrock 100mile and Spartathlon in 2000. Don't care in what condition or the time, just finish! Long-term ultra goal: Running and finishing 100+ milers in 10 years. Fantasy ultra goal: Yiannis Kouros shows me how to run a 24 hour race!
